Art Director

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Tower 28’s growing team is looking for a passionate, creative + collaborative Art Director. This role’s primary responsibility is to bring Tower 28’s visual identity to life through a cohesive and consistent design system in a multitude of touchpoints, from digital to packaging. The ideal candidate is creative, consistent, flexible, fast, collaborative, organized and a great manager. They must have excellent technical design skills, communication skills, flexibility and ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role is for a highly capable creative leader who can direct internal and external creative resources and has the ability to communicate creative vision to key stakeholders. Prior experience in an agency or internal marketing team is preferred.

This role is based in the Los Angeles Area and planned to be in-office approximately two to three days per week to start, subject to change depending on business needs. This role offers competitive pay and reports to directly to the CEO.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead creative development and execution of all touchpoints related to brand identity including but not limited to product packaging, visual merchandising plus brand advertising & communications, from concept to delivery, across our many marketing channels (digital, print, social, retail etc).
  • 360 campaign needs: Build concept boards, photo briefs, and design across multiple marketing channels.
  • Lead the entire design process from concept to design, photographic art direction, supervision of retouching, supervision of production, and supervision of all execution for campaign to ensure consistency and cohesiveness
  • Lead photoshoots and art direct photographers and stylists to execute creative
  • Assign resources and handle capacity planning for your team
  • Own, develop, and evangelize brand personality and purpose throughout the organization
  • Create on-brand, innovative, creative solutions that meet measurable business goals, fit with channel requirements and budget, and speak to our target audiences
  • Develop cohesive, standardized design guidelines as we evolve and finesse the look and feel of the brand. Enforce these standards.
  • Build and lead a team of internal and outsourced designers, copywriters, etc. to produce content, campaigns, and more with quick turnaround
  • Collaborate closely with CEO and the Brand Marketing Team to ensure creative materials represent the collective vision and help to further the brand’s strategic direction
  • Help improve and build processes that improve cross functional workflow, communication and approval processes
  • Engage in team building to foster creativity and collaboration
  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and business partners to ensure presence is consistent across all customer touchpoints
  • Quickly develop concept mockups to visualize new ideas in context
  • Oversee the scheduling and resources associated with creative production
  • Refine and revise creative to respond to Brand & CEO feedback
  • Develop and oversee timelines, deliverables, and creative budgets and expenses
  • Ensure brand messaging meets legal compliance

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Understanding of design, copy, and traditional/digital/web best practices
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and smaller budgets
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages and the foresight to plan ahead
  • Demonstrate a growing ability to analyze problems, anticipate consequences and eliminate obstacles to successfully complete projects
  • Demonstrated business acumen, including experience of budgeting and resourcing
  • Relentless desire for innovation & improvement, balanced with business priorities
  • Strong proficiency across a suite of creative tools including: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects.
  • Video editing, graphic design, motion graphic editing
  • Great organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Photography + Videography skills preferred

Account Executive

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Tower 28 Beauty is looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our team! The Account Executive is responsible for building brand awareness, achieving retail sales plans, cultivating relationships, educating the retail accounts, executing in store events and delivering best in class customer service.

In addition, the Account Executive should be able to access the business, identify opportunities and create door by door strategies to maximize growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve retail sales plans within the territory
  • Create store-specific plans to increase sales and sell through.
  • Manage and maintain budgets
  • Side by Side selling and training with each store
  • Cultivate and maintain best in class relationships with each store team
  • Educate in store Beauty advisors on Tower 28 brand pillars and product
  • Strategize, Plan and execute in store events in collaboration with store leadership and brand marketing
  • Analyze by store sales on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to insure productivity is maximized
  • Ensure inventory is optimized in each location during each visit
  • Provide insights on best practices, product assortment needs and the competitive landscape
  • Develop a call cycle to ensure in store support is given to all doors within the territory

Experience & Skills Required

  • Must have experience as an Account Executive in the beauty industry with a proven track record of achieving retail sales goals
  • Proficient PC skills including Excel & Google docs
  • Strong time management skills and able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends

Sales Coordinator

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Tower 28 Beauty is looking for a Sales Coordinator to join our team! The basic function of this role is to support Sales & Ops on all day to day administrative needs for the business. The sales coordinator will play a key role in ensuring retail orders are being placed, received and shipped according to plans. This person will also need to be proficient in Excel and able to provide multiple versions of sales recaps on a weekly basis.  

Responsibilities:

  • Tower 28 Operational Support
    • Enters/imports retail orders
    • Maintains SRP and wholesale price lists
  • Tower 28 Sales Support  
    • Responsible for Retail Sales Tracking (Weekly by sku and by location)
    • Place all gratis and no charge orders
    • Acts as support / liaison for the field team
      • Compiling and shipping out and receiving all Event Execution needs
      • Gratis needs
      • Education needs
    • Streamline internal forecasting process for all new product launches
    • Insure all retail partners place PO’s for all New Product launches that align with launch forecasts
    • Checks and Balance process for all PO’s
    • Implement process for all gratis orders
    • Maintain product assortment list for each retailer
    • Maintains Order form with all SRPS
    • Maintains price list with all wholesale pricing
  • Tower 28 Account Support
    • Completes all retail partner product set up forms and manages all data completion needs
    • Communicate with each account as New products launch to insure PO’s are being placed and all retailers are aligned with launch dates
    • Participate in quarterly market meetings with select retailers
    • Responsible for shipping all retailer product comps and samples as needed (for events, animations, meetings, vm etc….)
    • Be the main point of contact for all indy accounts and manage day to day needs

Experience & Skills Required

  • Must have Consumer Products and/or Retail Experience
  • Proficient PC skills including Excel & Google Docs

 


Social & Community Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and post content across all Tower 28 accounts. Some channels require multiple posts to go out per day, so organization, and attention to detail are key components of this role.
  • Act as community manager engaging with followers & driving conversation on all channels with precise focus on tone of voice, and brand.
  • Moderate and answer questions on retailer websites (i.e. Sephora)
  • Assist with developing and creating content for our social channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook.
  • Coordinate with Influencer Relations Coordinator (Erin), and E-commerce Manager (Jess) to seamlessly obtain permission of user-generated content.
  • Brief assets for social media channels, including Instagram stories and Pinterest pins to the creative team using Asana.
  • Work closely and collaboratively across Marketing, Creative, Product Development and our retail partners to champion social-first ideas and execute integrated content, activations, events and strategies
  • Closely monitor top-performing content for potential to boost or whitelist, and identify why you believe it works, and be able to translate your thoughts into opportunities for future content.
  • Contribute to end of month social analytic reports using insights from Tribe, Hootsuite/Sprout, etc.

Experience & Skills Required

  • 1-2 years of professional social media experience
  • Proficient knowledge in multiple social media platforms, with experience contributing to content or marketing calendars, scheduling through social software like Hootsuite or Sprout community management and understanding of social analytics.
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Ability to identify and produce on-brand creative content (text, image and video)
  • Ability to grasp trends on social media and act proactively
  • Excellent communication skills and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
  • Passionate about clean beauty is a plus!
  • Be a nice human who lives in LA area and can come into office 2x per week* (office is located in Century City)
