WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of New Product Development and Creative projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, supply chain, and social, to ensure successful project outcomes and the achievement of business objectives. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, consistent, structured, and organized when taking on complex tasks and situations.
This position is based in Los Angeles and requires IRL work multiple times a week.
Project Planning and Coordination
- Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Coordinate and lead project kick-off meetings, ensuring clear communication of project objectives, deliverables, and expectations.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
- Project Execution and Monitoring
- Oversee the execution of project activities, ensuring adherence to established timelines and budget constraints.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review project status, address issues, and foster collaboration among team members.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements, establish priorities, and manage expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure smooth project execution.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Provide quality pre-read and presentations for the meetings (as needed).
- Continuous Improvement
- Analyze project performance, lessons learned, and feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement process enhancements and best practices to streamline project management and increase operational efficiency.
- Connect the dots - Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to drive innovation, improve project outcomes, and proactively address internal and external factors which may impact project.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, project management, or a related field (relevant certifications are a plus).
- 2+ years of experience in Project Management in the cosmetics industry or a related field
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, software, tools and practices
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality control processes in the cosmetics industry.
- Excellent and confident written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive and highly organized with strong follow up skills
